Antoine BORELLI

Held various positions as engineer, estimator, project and department manager, controller, in France and in Arabian – Persian Gulf, was Regional Manager (West Africa) ; then  was VP Strategic Planning & R&D with ETPM in Paris (97-99) ; Director of Technology (Stolt Offshore, London 2000) ; Chairman and GEO of Parangon Litwin SA and Director of Parangon Engineering Services Inc. in Houston (Engineering subsidiaries of Stolt Offshore 2001-2004). Offers management or consultancy services in Business Development, Operational Audits, Management of Major Projects or Affiliates, Strategy, Mergers, Acquisitions, Divestments, Training in the fields of Engineering, Construction, Operation and Maintenance in the Offshore Energy business.

Guy FLORIN

Born in 1951, graduated from ICAM Lille, France (75) in mechanical engineering. He has over 35 years experience in fuels and lubricants marketing and distribution in Europe, Africa and Middle-East. He mainly worked for MOBIL Oil, EXXONMOBIL then as consultant for PANOLIN AG (Switzerland), SWICORP (North Africa) and IFP School (France). His main areas of experience are in R&D, marketing, logistics and sales of mineral, synthetic and biodegradable lubricants. He currently provides training and expertise to existing or new lubricants operations in matured or emerging markets.

Jean-Louis GAILLARD

Graduated from Ecole Supérieure de Physique et chimie Industrielle de Paris (69). He worked during 25 years for Philips (optimisation of cement plants) & Honeywell (process control leader) in implementation and supports of instrumentation and system for oil & gas plants (upstream, downstream). One of his main focuses was Turkey and Central Asia business development with leverage from support services (training, maintenance). Since 1987 he has been acting as a service business development project manager for various companies including IPEDEX (Détaché in Africa for 4 years).  For the African Mining sector, he worked in Senegal (ICS), Congo (Potash) and Gabon (Eramet/Comilog).  He is currently an independent consultant targeting In Country Value (HR & local entreprises) in Africa (Algeria, Senegal, Mauritania, Ghana, Congo, Gabon, Angola, Mozambique).

François GIGER

Dr François Giger has been in charge of strategy and of new industrial projects for the fossil fired, hydro and nuclear generation fleet of Électricité de France for 15 years. Previously during 10 years, he took managerial commitments in the engineering and construction of new power units in France, MEA and China, as Deputy Director of the Thermal Engineering Department.

Deputy-president of the board of the VGB Powertech association of power producers (Essen, Germany), he chaired its technical board for more than 10 years. He contributed to working groups of Eurelectric in Brussels dealing with nuclear and conventional thermal generation, CCS and climate change related matters.

Previously to joining EDF, he served as a civil servant in the French Embassy in Tokyo and, later on for the French administration in charge of implementing and enforcing environmental regulation in the Southeast area (Marseille based) and at the national regulatory bureau for transportation of dangerous goods.

He has gained as well a large experience in the main energy resources (coal, oil & gas, uranium, hydro, solar), in their transportation and their financing in Europe and overseas (Japan, Indonesia, North America) namely at the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), the Institut Français du Pétrole (IFP), the Banque Nationale de Paris (BNP) and TRAPIL (Société des TRAnsports pétroliers par Pipe Line).

He chairs since 1999 a working group on energy related matters at the École des Mines Paristech (https://inter-mines.org/fr/group/mines-energie/44/alias/conferences) where he graduated as an engineer (1975) and as “Ingénieur du Corps des Mines” (1978). He chairs as well since 2020 the Comité de Mission of the Deep-Tech Start-up Sublime-Énergie focused on bio-gas valorisation. He authored and presented more than 50 technical or economic papers in English, French or German about energy, innovation, safety and environment protection.

He holds a MBA from Centre de Perfectionnement aux Affaires (1987, Paris Chamber of Commerce), a PhD in oil & gas reservoir engineering for horizontal wells (1989, University Paris VI) and a master’s degree in coaching and personnal development (University Paris II Assas, 2018).

William GRAS

Master degree in geosciences from ENSG, Nancy, William has worked 12 years in Total. He started with CCUS topics before working as a reservoir engineer with either a global focus on data (reserve certification, gas strategy, long term plan and reserves exercises) or dedicated studies (Congo, Brasil).Then William moved to a in house consulting position, mainly on change.
Since 2019, William is fully involved in raising awareness about planetary boundaries and at first, climate change. His audience goes from citizens to high states officials, private equity and companies (top and bottom). He helps leaders conducting change in their companies and through their stakeholde. William makes people independant at both strategy and operational scale by making them understand what carbon neutrality means and what is the responsability split between the different stakeholders.

Michel HEYDON

Graduated from Ecole Centrale de Nantes (1981). Senior Oil & Gas project manager (topsides Ofon 2 project in Nigeria) and EPC regional branch manager. Michel is also Senior engineer in shipbuilding industry and expert for inspection of ships and control of consistency with French and European regulations. Main activity is to support development of international projects from identification of call for tenders to EPCC (including Commissioning). Languages French / English / German”

Jean-Jacques JUNG

Jean-Jacques graduated from Ecole Centrale de Paris (78) and Ecole Nationale Superieure du Petrole et des Moteurs (79). He is a seasoned professional with over 30 years experience in the Downstream Oil Industry and 8 years in Mining.
Most of his career was spent in developing countries in Africa, Indian Ocean and South-East Asia: he worked and lived in 10 such countries for Majors (Total, BHP Billiton) as well as mid-sized listed companies (Addax, Sherritt, Eramet, Rubis) and privately-owned business. He ran several companies with a particular focus on founding, restructuring and turning around operations. He possesses significant experience in high level negotiations both in the public and private spheres.

Philippe LABAT

Born in 1953, graduated engineer from Ecole Polytechnique Paris (73) and ENSPM (77). He has 25 years of experience as a production engineer and operations manager of oil producing companies. He has a wide experience of artificial lift, water injection and production operations. He developed a good experience of money-making with small to medium size oilfields (1 000 to 10 000 barrels a day), staff management including recruitment, training and termination, health safety and environment. He also has a good knowledge of oil contracts (production sharing, joint operating agreements) and economics (assets evaluation, purchase and sales).

Nadia LALOUT-LANDEMAINE

Nadia is an experienced Operational HR, Global Mobility, Training, Communication and Local Content consultant with over 15 years in the Global Oil & Gas and Engineering sectors, leading, coordinating, supporting and delivering projects, in complex and fast moving environments for international clients, organisations, training centres, vendors, suppliers, NGO and local governments in Africa and Asia.

In the past years, she has focused on Africa (Ghana and Mozambique) on resourcing, training local talents, leading studies on Diversity and Inclusion of women in the energy sector, as well as in-country value programmes for international organisations. 

Dominique LAURIER

Graduated from Paris University (DEA métallogénie 1969) and ENSPM (Geology 1971), worked 37 years at Total E&P with a large focus in basin exploration, sedimentology, laboratory techniques, R&D and international management. He spent 20 years as expatriate; in Indonesia (Balikpapan 1974-77), China as chief geologist (Zhangjiang 1981-84), Venezuela as head of cooperation team seconded to Corpoven (Puerto la Cruz 1985-87), Syria as exploration manager (Damascus 1988-91), Bolivia as subsidiary general manager (Santa Cruz 1997-2000) and Qatar as manager of Total Research Center in Doha (2006-2009). Involved in laboratory various technical positions (1977-1981, 1984-85, 1991-1993) he became director of Total CST (Beauplan 1993-1997). After merge with Elf-Aquitaine he worked one year at IFP international division (GERTH) as program coordinator for EU project financing (Joule-Thermie). Then he was named deputy manager for R&D planning at CSTJF in Pau (2001-2003), and later on deputy geosciences manager (2003-2006) at CSTJF. Retired in 2009 he joined Beicip-Franlab for 6 years as deputy technical business manager, assigned on prospecting and development for consultancy projects, mainly in Middle East and South America. From 2019 to 2022 he worked as consultant with CVA Engineering (2002-2002) involved on M.O. field management planning. Greatly involved in professional associations (AFTP, EAGE, SGF, EVOLEN, ASPO France), fluent in English and Spanish, written and spoken.

Jacques LE GOFF

Born in 1956, graduated from Ecole Polytechnique (X75) and ENSPM (IFP, 1979), worked 3 years as field engineer within SCHLUMBERGER WIRELINE LOGGING in Tierra del Fuego, South America. Since 1983, insurance surveyor : 15 years with ORCAL, and since 1999 within ERGET : warranty and claim surveys, loss adjustment, risk analysis, professional liability. Offshore works (mobile and fixed platforms, pipeline laying, towing, heavy lift…), drilling (oil & gas, geothermics…), marine activities (hull and machinery, P. & I.).

Yves LE GUERN

Graduated from the “Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers” with a Master’s degree in Measurements and Industrial Controls, I started my career as an engineer in Instrumentation and Automation, then moved to project manager positions with a focus in the oil & gas and energy industry. I worked for companies such as Technip Energies, TOTAL, ORANO, AREVA, in project study, construction or monitoring projects worldwide. In 1997, I joined INGENICA as a member of the executive team where I developed commercial activities in Africa through the creation of an Export offer for technical assistance and design study package type of services (for clients such as TOTAL(s), SIR, SAR, SONARA, CORAF, STIR, Senjet, SNPC,… ). I ended my career at INGENICA in 2020 as Vice President and Director of Development to start an independent advisory activity in the energy sector. I am currently advising “FIMATEC Ingenierie” as Development Manager.

Laurent NICOLAS

He is currently Head of Assets and Planning at the company Lithium de France, which is developing a deep geothermal and lithium extraction project. He is an engineer from the Ecole Polytechnique and the French Institute of Petroleum (reservoir engineering) and has more than 25 years of experience in the gas industry in upstream, infrastructure management, and trading.

Specialized in the implementation and monitoring of evaluation and certification processes for hydrocarbon resources and reserves, geothermal energy, and some minerals such as lithium present in brines extracted from deep geological formations, he organizes and promotes exploration, development, and production projects of the companies in the petroleum and deep geothermal industries. He builds strategies for optimizing project portfolios in an uncertain environment (identification of acquisition and disposal opportunities) and defends the economic valuations of these assets with public or private investors, banks and organizations that support the development of new energy resources.

Nicolas PARISE

I have been based in France, Asia, North America and Middle East in sales, marketing and P&L management positions and strongly contributed to the growth of a mid-size company, manufacturer and provider of industrial solutions (Onshore artificial lift systems, Offshore API Pumps) in Oil&Gas upstream markets.

Joaquim PEREIRA

Sales Manager with over 20 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry, working for world class companies such as Schlumberger and Baker Hughes, in charge of South Europe and North Africa.  My most recent role was Global Account Manager for a Major IOC.  My knowledge and experience are predominantly related to Offshore and On-shore Processing Packages, and Subsea Production Systems.  In additions to Sales, I’ve held roles in Project Management, Engineering, and Quality.
I have a good understanding of developing pursuit strategies, clients bidding and procurement processes, and working with government bodies.   I have strong commercial awareness and a key strength is my ability to build networks and close working relationships, both internally and externally.

Daniel PICARD

Daniel Picard has spent most of his career with TOTAL in the Exploration Production Branch. He has been involved in most of the major Development Projects worldwide of TOTAL, particularly as Project Director for the Dalia Development in Angola; he was deputy MD in Norway and later MD for TOTAL QATAR, then became VP Development for TOTAL E&P. He spent quite some time abroad: in the UK, in Norway, in the Middle East, Abu Dhabi and Qatar, and lately in Brazil.For his last appointment in Brazil, he was seconded during 4 years to Petrobras as Special Adviser to the Petrobras Director of the LIBRA Project (later called Merou), a deep offshore giant Project in the presalt.

He retired from TOTAL in 2018 and is now a senior consultant in O&G matters, advising various banks and Ministries such as the MPEM in Mauritania, the Senegal Ministry etc. He is also a consultant on Energy transition for IFC/World Bank.

Daniel Picard was educated at Ecole des Mines, Stanford University, INSEAD and London School of Economics (LSE).

Jacques PIGNAULT

Engineer and doctor of science, he has first worked for an engineering company for large projects for about twenty years. Then he specialized in the field of risk management, particularly in the area of Human factor. His intervention area covers the hardware, information, organizational and human devices for monitoring and risk control (preventive as well as palliative ; permanent organization, crisis escalating, crisis management, back to normal). The missions he take on are either consulting services or seminar animations. As his English is not so nice, he would rather work with French speaking persons.

Patrick PORTOLANO

Born in 1956, graduated from Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées (1979) and Newcastle University ( UK ), he worked for 5 years in reservoir engineering and reserve evaluation at FRANLAB (now BECIP-FRANLAB) in Sophia Antipolis (France) and Houston (Texas). He founded EOSYS in 1993, a geosciences and seismic survey company based in Paris, and has managed it since then. To reservoir engineering and reservoir modeling, he has added specializations in 3D geological modeling, seismic acquisition, processing and interpretation, satellite and aerial image processing and interpretation. He has worked for most of the major industrial French Corporations as well as a number of IOC and NOC in Europe, Africa, Middle East and America. His current focus is in prospect and reserve appraisals as well as in assisting or participating with private investors to secure new exploration and production permits.

Jean-Louis RICK

Has a background in Psychology from the Paris University (74). He worked during 35 years for Ipedex and Spie Oil & Gas Services in Selection & Assessment of personnel, Training projects and Human Resources Management & Consulting for National & International Oil & Gas companies, energy (power plants) and Mines, mainly in Africa, but also in Central Asia, Middle & Far East. He is focusing on the influence of culture and social environment on Company’ development. He is currently an independent consultant targeting training and HR services projects in Africa. Thomas Rodriguez is a senior specialist in the field of local content, with 10 years + experience as local content consultant & manager for major O&G projects in Africa. He is today the director of CLC Solution and supporting megaprojects, companies and governments in their local content plan, strategy, performance and innovation toward best local content practices. Looking backward, he has been directly involved on the management of local content for projects totaling 70+ Billions USD investments and performed work to support impacts in 16+ African countries.

Stéphane SOLE

20 years African experience in Oil & Gas industry (Upstream and downstream), mostly based in Africa (Nigeria, Sudan, Ghana, Mozambique).
