– A place of reflection, a force for proposals to – IOC (international operators) – NOC (national companies) – Oil service companies – Investment funds – Local authorities – Governments
– on issues such as – the low-carbon transition of the hydrocarbon industry – safety / HSE – training and partnerships to develop “local content”
Why is the Hydrocarbon Industry transitioning to Low-carbon?
– the use of hydrocarbons is cited, along with coal, as the main factor in the increase of GHGs (greenhouse gases).
– the hydrocarbon industry cannot continue to operate without taking into account its global ecological impact
Now is the time to harness the potential of hydrogen to play a key role in a clean, secure and affordable energy future (IEA Recommendations in June 2019 at G20 Japan)
